Walter Franklin Jeanes, age 70, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 14, 2007 in Richardson, Texas. Walter was born January 23, 1937, in Blue Ridge, Texas, to Charles L. and Ester (Smith) Jeanes. He married Mary Boyanton on August 30, 1957 in Denton, Texas. Before retirement, Walter was the owner of a chemical blending company. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America with his sonbs. He and Mary loved to travel and spent a few months each year seeing this beautiful country. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Plano. He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Darryl and his wife, Nancy of Canton, Texas, Kevin and his wife, JaKayla of Amarillo, Texas, and David and his wife, Cindy of Plano, Texas; daughter, Lori Cronan and her husband, Wayne of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Shelbi, Brandon, Audrey, Haley, Blake, Ryan, and Ethan; and brother, John and his wife, Donna of Denton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack, Charles, and W.B. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Plano, Texas with Jerry Carlisle and Larry McGuire officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM.
