Mr. Walter A. Hogan, Jr., age 82, of Princeton, Texas passed away April 16, 2011, in Plano, Texas. He was born on March 16, 1929, in Clovis, New Mexico to Walter Allen Hogan, Sr. and Bessie Mae (Allen) Hogan. In June of 1950, he married Gloria Shockley in Artesia, New Mexico. Walter proudly served his country in the United States Army. After 35 years or service, he retired from S.W. Bell. For many years, Walter coached little league football and baseball, and he loved to fish and travel. He was a member of the Princeton Church of Christ Church. Walter is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria; daughter, Karen Bryant and son, Terry Hogan both of Plano, Texas; sister, Linda Tucker and husband, Benny of Athens, Texas; brother, John Hogan and wife, Tincy of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Troy, Raymond, Chad, Shawn, Joseph and Crissy; great granddaughter, Meira; great grandsons, Evan, Bryan and Beau; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stanley Hogan. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Steve Orbison and Bro. Bobby McClenny officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
