Mr. W. T. Parchman, Jr., age 80, of Lucas, Texas, passed away October 10, 2004, at his home. He was born July 20, 1924, in Lamesa, Texas, to William Thomas and Bessie (Speck) Parchman. He married Jackie Ray McCombs on May 12, 1944, in Post, Texas. Mr. Parchman served in the U. S. Navy. He has lived and raised his family in the McKinney area since the 1950’s. He owned Lucas Food Mart from 1972 through 1978, and also owned Baker’s Drive In with his daughter, Alexis from 1979 through 1999. He was lovingly referred to as Mr. “T” in the business world and was greatly admired by family, friends and associates. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Parchman of Lucas, Texas; daughter, Alexis Youmans of Lucas, Texas; sons, Gordon Ray Parchman and Douglas Dwaine Parchman of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Loyd Youmans of San Diego, California, Saundra Leigh Lucero of Lucas, Texas, Kayla Neale Parchman of Sacramento, California, and Brian Douglas Parchman of San Francisco, California; great-grandchildren, Sabrina Duran Lucero of Lucas, Texas, and Joshua Christopher Youmans of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Parchman; five brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, October 15, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Kelly Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
