W.L. Flanagan

W.L. Flanagan, age 85 of Webster, Texas passed away on August 27, 2008 in Webster, Texas. He was born on September 2, 1922 in Rowlett, Texas to G.W. and Ida Eugene (Stanley) Flanagan. For many years he and his family owned and operated Flanagan Texaco in Frisco, Texas. He went on to work with the City of Hackberry for many years until 2007. He dearly missed all his friends and colleagues at the City of Hackberry when he relocated to live with his family in League City, Texas. W.L. is survived by his sons, Mike Flanagan and his wife, Marie of Wesley Chapel, Florida, John Flanagan and his wife, Lea of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Woodie Flanagan and his wife, Gretchen of League City, Texas, Billy Flanagan of Hackberry, Texas; daughter, Sharon Pannell and her husband, Frank of Kemah, Texas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Dick of Lewisville, Texas; his nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers, his first wife, Edith Flanagan and his second wife, Mona Belle. W.L. will never be forgotten by all who loved and knew him. They will forever miss the precious little smile and wink he would give to them all. The family will receive friends at a Visitation on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas beginning at 12:00 Noon. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home and interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park (Bethel Cemetery).
