W. Kenneth "Ken" Griffin

William Kenneth Griffin, age 80, of Anna, Texas, left us to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 19, 2015. He was born on May 10, 1935 to Jo Kate (Hendricks) and Cleon Clyde Griffin. On June 15, 1956, Ken married the love of his life, Saundra Jo Edmondson in Anna, Texas; they were married 59 years. He was raised on the family farm in Anna and graduated from high school there in 1953. Ken was a faithful Christian serving the Lord throughout his daily life. He was blessed as the leader of a loving and strong family and he valued this as his most important role in life. Ken’s passion was his farm. He also bought and sold real estate, including operating his commercial properties in Dallas. Ken sold Fords all of his life and was one of the top salesmen in the nation for Ford Motor Company. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and Shriner. His Master Mason membership was held in Carrollton No. 1400 and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32nd degree Valley of Dallas, Orient of Texas and Shriners International, Noble Life Hella Shriners, Garland, Texas. Ken was the recipient of the Ford 300/500 Club Top Hatter award for over 50 years, which is the highest sales honor that can be received.

He is survived by his wife, Saundra Jo Griffin; daughters, Martha Jo Soule and husband Stephen, Karen Lynn Spies and husband Christopher, Debbie Ann Henegan and husband John; grandchildren, Kenneth Thayer Soule, JoLinnell Soule, Kody Lee Spies and wife Barbara, William Carson Spies, Lindsey Nicole Rush, Saundra Jean Monroe and husband Devin, Patrick Riley Henegan; great-grandchildren, Griffin Ford Spies and Karaline Jo Spies; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, CC “Cotton” and Jo Kate Griffin; sister, Mary Jo Flesher; daughter, Sharon Ken Griffin; grandchildren, Kara Lynn Spies and Sean Francis Henegan.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Westminster, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
