Pete Norris, Jr., age 81 of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 3, 2005 in Frisco, Texas. Pete was born on October 3, 1923 in McKinney, Texas to Volney Clifford and Naomi Cleo (Howard) Norris. He married Ruth James on January 1,1956 in Rockwall, Texas. He was a rural mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service for 38 years. Pete served his county in the U. S. Marines. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prosper; American Legion, President of the Lions Club; a founding member of the Prosper Booster Club; a lifetime member of the Pro-Rodeo Cowboy’s Association; Rual Letter Carrier’s Association and Frisco Little League where he served as a coach and president for several years. Pete is survived by his wife, Ruth Norris for Frisco, Texas; children, Billy Norris and wife, Mona of Sealy, Texas, Kathy Bledsoe and husband, Joe of Whitesboro, Texas; grandchildren, Bradley, Amy, and Brooks Norris of Sealy, Texas; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Whitsell. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Prosper with Rev. Preston Harrison and Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Prosper Building Fund.
