Vivian Renfrow Baxter, age 93, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 27, 2011, in McKinney. Vivian was born February 8, 1917, in Plano, Texas, to John Oliver and Eugenia (Porter) Renfrow. She married Harold Foster Baxter on November 13, 1932, in Prosper, Texas. Side by side, Vivian and Harold worked hard on the farm raising their family. She also worked for Cabell’s Dairy in McKinney for seventeen years and was a seamstress for ten years. She is survived by her son, Lloyd Baxter and wife, Aletta of Anna, Texas; daughter, Freida Rose and husband, Bobby of McKinney, Texas; son-in-law, Charles Fowler of Leonard, Texas; daughter-in-law, Nancy Baxter of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Mike Hunter and wife, Lynda of McAlester, Oklahoma, Charles Fowler, Jr. and wife, Jean of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christine Gibson of Leonard, Texas, Allan Baxter and wife, Angela of Prosper, Texas, and Theresa Powell and husband, J. J. of McKinney, Texas; great-grandsons, Chuck Fowler of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cody Baxter and fiancé, Lisa of McKinney, Texas, Cooper Baxter of Prosper, Texas, and Cody Hunter, Denver Hunter, and Tyler Hunter, all of McAlester, Oklahoma; and great-great-grandson, Wylie Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Wanella Fowler; son, Clifford Baxter; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Baxter; son-in-law, Nickey Robinson; granddaughter, Cindy Ann Baxter; and fourteen siblings. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
