Virginia Ann Wyckoff, age 71 of Lakewood Village, Texas passed away on October 17, 2009 in Plano, Texas in the presence of her family. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on August 5, 1938 to Clyde and Stella (Childs) Welch where she grew up and graduated from high school. Virginia was active in the Presbyterian church, both in Durant and in Sherman. On July 31, 1983 she was married to Albert Wyckoff in Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charles and Jim Welch. Virginia is survived by her husband, Albert Wyckoff of Lakewood Village; children, Richard Saffa of Carrollton, Texas, Tammy Bergquist of Sherman, Texas, Tim Saffa and his wife, Cissy also of Sherman, Eliot and Angela Wyckoff of Arlington and Nancy Mohr of Keller, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Goodman and her husband, Sonny of Howe, Texas; brothers, Ronald Welch of Garland, Texas and Kenneth Welch and his wife, Sylvia of Wylie, Texas. She was also blessed with several nieces and nephews. Virginia’s favorite times were Thanksgiving and Christmas when everyone could be together. The family will receive friends during a Remembrance Gathering on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home beginning at 6:30 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 with Rev. Dr. Danny Buster officiating. An Inurnment will be held at a later date at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lupus Foundation of Dallas will be appreciated.
