Jenny Ruth Smith of Allen, Texas passed away June 30, 2014 at the age of 61. She was born November 14, 1952 to James William Turney and Ruth Ellen (Powell) Turney in Grapevine, Texas. Jenny married Clyde Smith March of 1977. She worked for Securlock Self Storage for ten years. Jenny was a loving mother, sister, wife and grandmother. She was a great grandma who loved her grandchildren and who could not have a phone conversation without talking about them. Jenny cared for others more than herself. She could give anyone the shirt off her back. Jenny was a great listener and a great friend.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde “Rusty” Smith of Allen, Texas; brother, David Turney of Bedford, Texas; son, Mark Smith and wife Thelma of Gainesville, Texas; daughters, Donna Bajek of Aurora, Colorado, Sheri Luton and husband Terry of Melissa, Texas, Julie Malwitz and husband Douglas of North Richland Hills, Texas; Jenifer Garcia of Euless, Texas and Amy Jankowski and husband Kenneth of North Richland Hills, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Turney; brothers, Bill Turney and Jack Turney; son, Michel Smith; grandson, Dakota Morris; and granddaughter, Carol Smith.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
