Virginia "Ginger" Jean Lashley

Virginia "Ginger" Jean Lashley, of Addison, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2013 at the age of 67.  She was born February 2, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Harry and Ethel (Edleman) McBride.  Ginger attended Kent State University, Kent, Ohio and also, Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  In 2000 she moved to Dallas and was employed at National Teachers Associates Life Insurance for the past ten years.  Ginger was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas; she was in the choir, worked in the child care ministry and was a member of the Encouragers Class, as well. She liked to travel and was looking forward to going to London with the church choir group. She also enjoyed playing golf, working out and participating in 5K runs. 

Ginger is survived by her brother, Don McBride and wife, Lil of McKinney; niece, Diane Miller of McKinney; nephew, Dave McBride and wife, Mary Ellen of Chesterland, Ohio; great-nieces, Stephani Miller-Wood and husband, John of Lewisville, Texas and Emily McBride of Chesterland, Ohio; Great nephew, Jeremy Miller of Lewisville, Texas; and great-great-niece, Jace Annabelle Wood of Lewisville, Texas.

Ginger's family was very important to her.  She will be missed dearly.

Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ethel McBride and nephew, Dan McBride.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM,  in the Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, Texas.
