Vernon Felix Franklin, age 94, of Celina, Texas passed away on November 30, 2011. He was born on January 30, 1917 in Big Springs, Texas to Fannie Beatrice (McElduff) and Sam Trasivan Franklin. On December 20, 1943, Vernon married Betty Lou Jane in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the United States Navy and was an Aircraft Mechanic. Vernon is survived by his son, James Vernon Franklin; grandson, Vernon Franklin and his wife, Alison. Vernon is preceded by his wife, Betty Franklin and parents, Sam and Fannie Franklin. An inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
