Vera Zupancic, age 95 of Frisco, Texas passed away on March 23, 2015 in Frisco. She was born on October 1, 1919 in San Bartolomeo, Italy to Carmenio and Antonietta (D’Onofrio) Marinaro. Vera married Joseph Zupancic in Cleveland, OH.

Vera took great pride in her work as a Registered Nurse. Her determination and passion for nursing gained her admission to St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing, where she was granted special admission as an exception to their age-restriction policy. Throughout her life, based on her experiences, she inspired and motivated many others. The sharpness of her mind was witnessed continuously, even up until her final hours. Her mental faculty was always admirable.

Her life was guided by her Roman Catholic Faith, and she considered her family to be her greatest blessing. She took great pride in the adventures and time she shared with her grandchildren, as well as their children.

Vera is remembered with love by her daughters, Marie Pishko of Frisco, Texas and Francine Nelson of Vero Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Christina Pishko, Gregory Pishko and Taryl O’Shea, Amanda Kazarian and David, Mitch Pishko and Kristi, Elena Bouyssou and Stephan; great-grandchildren, Jessica Sergent, Allison Pishko, Claire Pishko, Spencer Kazarian, Lincoln Kazarian, Jack Pishko, Emerson Kazarian, Sam Pishko, Calais Bouyssou. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zupancic; four sisters and three brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco presided by Father Richard Kirkham with visitation until 7:00 PM. Graveside Service will take place at 2:30 PM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Ascension Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.
