Vaun Dean Yeilding Jennings was born August 25, 1923 in Oglesby, Texas to James Clinton Yeilding and Julia May Choate Yeilding. She was the fourth of eight children. She married Robert Lee Jennings on November 22, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas. She died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman, Texas at the age of 90. She was a resident of Whitewright, Texas.
She is survived by son, Fred Jennings of Whitewright; granddaughter, Angela Andrew of Whitewright; great-granddaughters, Alexis, Jayden and Clara of Whitewright; numerous nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Jennings; son, Johnny Jennings; brothers, Hollis, Everett, Albert, S.L., Ralph and Howard; and sister, Catherine.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Doyle Henderson, Rev. Eric Rothe and Rev. Frank Rahm. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be the Methodist Men.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
