Vatoni Carol Ragsdale, 53, of Parker, Texas went to be with our Lord on October 22, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 25, 1962, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Jack Carroll and Jewell Dill.

Vatoni graduated from Forestburg High School in Forestburg, Texas with the class of 1980. She then graduated from North Texas State University (now known as the University of North Texas) in 1985 with a Masters in Accounting degree. On October 17, 1992 she was united in marriage to John Ragsdale in Dallas, Texas. In 1993 Vatoni began her beloved and successful career in accounting for Cinemark USA, Inc. She was employed as the Vice President of Tax at the time of her passing. In 1994 John and Vatoni made their home in Allen, Texas where their two beautiful daughters, Laura and Masen were born and raised, and where they spent many beautiful times in the community and their church, the First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas. She served in various church capacities and enjoyed many hobbies, including, cooking, snow skiing, water skiing, and reading. She loved spending her spare time with friends, family and above all, with her husband and daughters.

She is survived by her husband John Ragsdale of Parker, Texas; two children, Laura Ragsdale and Masen Ragsdale also of Parker, Texas; her parents, Jack Carroll and Jewell Dill and two brothers, Charles Dill and Larry Dill of Forestburg, Texas, and several nephews, nieces, and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church Allen, Texas with Reverend Todd Harris officiating.Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home is directing funeral arrangements. Visitation is Sunday, October 25th at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
