Van Clyne Nall, Jr., age 84, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 21, 2010. He was born October 17, 1925 in Tyler, Texas to Van Clyne Nall, Sr. and Mary Lucy (Hill) Nall. On November 17, 1951 he married Marilynn Reeder in Dallas, Texas. Van proudly served in the United States Army. He was a POW and a veteran of World War II. He graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois in 1949 and then served as a Young Life leader for many years. Van later worked as a home builder and real estate broker. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilynn Nall of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Lucy Elizabeth Dierks and husband, Ted of McKinney, Texas; sons, Van Nall III and wife, Carolyn of Richmond, Virginia, Harold “Hal” Raymond Nall of McKinney, Texas, Joe R. Nall and wife, Kelly of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel, David, Elizabeth, Van IV and Kimberly; brother, Joe M. Nall and wife, Rosie of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Lucy Nall; grandson, Ryan Michael Nall; brothers, Robert M. Nall, Tom Nall, and Jack Nall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Donald Geiger officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
