V. W. "Bud" Glover

V. W. “Bud” Glover, age 67, of Fairview, Texas, passed away March 19, 2008, in Plano, Texas. He was born October 11, 1940, in Denton, Texas, the son of Vernon Woolsey and Mattie Belle (Cunningham) Glover, Sr. On June 30, 1962, he married Mary Lee Tallant in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Bud served his country in the United States Army, being stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas and Ft. Monmouth in New Jersey. He was a commercial electrician and a member of Local 20 of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Bud was a past Fire Chief of the Fairview Fire Department and was a member of Highpointe Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Mary Lee; sons, Jeffrey Allen Glover and his wife, Cheryl of Blue Ridge and Jonathan Adam Glover and his wife, Misty of Plano; daughter, Lee Ann Harris and her husband Ray of Allen; grandson, Chance Allen Glover; and sister Karen Ellison of Las Vegas, NV. Preceding him in death were his parents; and grandchildren, Dakota and Cheyanne Davis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Mr. Joseph Lee Herald and Brother George Bomar officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
