Turner A. Grogan

Mr. Turner Andrew Grogan, age 89, left this world on November 23, 2004 to join family and friends who have preceded him in death, especially his much loved son, Turner Dewane Grogan. Turner proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WWII on the Battleship USS Mississippi as a 3rd Class Gunners Mate in the 7th Division. His friendly, outgoing nature enabled him to meet people anywhere he went. He was loved by all that knew him and remembered for his willingness to help others, and his ability to tell stories. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Adele Grogan of Naples; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Tracey Stone of Prosper, TX, Deborah and Sid Sanford of Carrollton, TX; daughter-in-law, Barbara Carlson of Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, V. H. Grogan of Oklahoma city, OK; sister, Lena Langston of Duncanville, TX; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in McKinney, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Turner Grogan to: Grace Home, c/o Christus Schumpert Foundation, One Saint Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
