Mrs. Tula Lewis, age 95, of Irving, Texas passed away on February 8, 2004, in Irving. She was born on October 18, 1908, in Honey Grove, Texas to Jackson and Minnie Sockwell. She married Walter Charles Lewis on October 24, 1936, in Whitewright, Texas. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her sons, Jack Lewis and wife, Ann of Irving, Texas and Jim Lewis and wife, Cheryl of Angel Fire, New Mexico; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Lewis; and 7 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2004, at Ridgeview Memorial Park with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
