Trygve "Trig" Thompson

Mr. Trygve Thompson, age 85, of Richardson, Texas passed away September 30, 2006 in Richardson. He was born January 22, 1921 in Sheyenne, North Dakota to parents Andrew and Hilda (Larson) Thompson. On February 22, 1950 he married Beulah Agnes Shirley in Dallas, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Mr. Thompson worked as a Mechanic in the aircraft industry for over 30 years. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas. Often called 'Trigger' by his close friends, he shared his boundless love and enthusiasm with everyone, as befitted his robust Norwegian heritage. He is survived by his nephews, Craig Allen of Orlando, Florida, Nils Allen of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Gordon Nelson of Sheyenne, North Dakota; sister, Alpha Nelson of Sheyenne, North Dakota; nieces, Dianne Hanson of Sheyenne, North Dakota, and Sharon Oppen of Towner, North Dakota. Preceding him in death were his cherished bride of 54 years, Beulah, and his brother Obert, and his nephew, Brent Allen. At noon after the funeral a luncheon in Trigs's honor will be held at his church, the First United Methodist Church of Richardson, in the Sanctuary Welcome Center - all friends & family are welcome to come and share in this special fellowship time. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 6, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will gladly receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
