Tressie Bea Bradley

Tressie Bea Bradley formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away, 8:10 a.m., Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the age of 86 in Hurst, Texas.   She was born September 6, 1925 to Thomas W. and Mary J. (Ledford) Potter in McKinney, Texas. Bea grew up in Culleoka, Texas during the depression. Her family moved into McKinney in 1931 at the age of six.  She attended Southward Elementary (also known as Fanny Finch Elementary).   As a single mother, Bea raised two sons.  She worked at Duttons Café, Woods Café and Townhouse, Texas Instruments and owned a beauty shop.  Bea became a Christian in 1962 and helped organize Central Baptist Church in 1966.  Bea’s last ten years of life were lived in Hurst where she was surrounded by her family. 

She is survived by her sons, Jim Rich and wife Shirley of Hurst, Texas, Benny Rich and wife Leslie of Hollister, California; grandchildren, Sabrina Sanders, Cecila Chabarria, Boyd Rich, Lee Tucker, Rae Ann Reichow, Jordan Rich; great grandchildren, Alexis Rich, Avery Rich, Evan Chabarria, Charlie Chabarria, Corlin Chabarria, Isabell Riechow, Madison Reichow, Lane Ray Tucker; nephew, Claudy Starnes of McKinney, Texas; nieces, Lorene Woods of Harlingen, Texas, Rita Pittsinger of Dallas, Texas, Joy Farmer of Pond Creek, Oklahoma. 

Bea was preceded in death by her parents; Tomas and Mary Potter; sisters, Lula Starnes, Beaulah Morris, brother; Leroy Potter.

A graveside service will be held, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  A reception will be held at Central Baptist Church located at 2142 CR 337, McKinney, Texas 75069 following the committal.
