Tracy Jack Tolleson age 72, of Van Alstyne, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at home surrounded by family and close friends by his side. Services for Tracy will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas, with visitation on Friday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tracy was born in Tioga, Texas to Thurman and Corine Tolleson. He graduated from Tioga High School. He then enrolled in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers trade school, graduating as a Journeyman Electrician. He worked in the Dallas Fort Worth area for 40 years, finishing his career in the Sherman-Denison area, working for Embry Electric. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 51 years. Tracy was a lifetime member, past president, director and drill captain of the Blue Ridge Riding Club. Past director of Lewisville Saddle Club, member of the American Quarter Horse Association and an active member of the Bois D’Arc Creek Cowboy Church. He has been a master mason for over 40 years and was a member of Melissa Lodge #569. Tracy married Brenda Kay Anderson on February 15, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. Tracy lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger. He spent countless hours traveling to and from rodeos, and playdays; although he did not compete, you would always find him announcing, and helping out wherever he could to support his family. In later years he took up golf. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Tracy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Kay Tolleson of Van Alstyne; sons, Jackie Tolleson and Curtis Tolleson and wife Michelle, all of Van Alstyne; daughter, Lesia Kirkland and husband Kent of Howe; sister, Barbara Martin of Valley View, Texas; brother, Harry Tolleson and wife Judy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cody Conway of Howe, Texas, Cody Jack Tolleson of McKinney, Texas, Ty Tolleson of Blue Ridge, Texas, and Kristin Tolleson of Van Alstyne, Texas; great-grandson, Zain Tolleson of Van Alstyne, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Texas Oncology, Home Hospice and Dr. Christion Cooper and their staff, for all of the wonderful care that was given to Tracy during his battle with cancer.
