Tommy Lynn Stambaugh, age 59, of Allen, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 6, 1954 in Sherman, Texas to Lynn Eldon and Dorothy Sue (Cashon) Stambaugh. Tom married Diana on September 14, 1985 in Celina, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Celina, Texas. Tom grew up in Celina, Texas and graduated from Celina High School in 1972. He graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor degree in agricultural engineering. Tom worked for Halliburton Energy Services for over thirty years, working worldwide living in France, Qatar, Dubai, Oman and Indonesia, before returning to Allen in 2004. Although he lived in all the places above he also worked in many more countries. He enjoyed woodworking and his aspiration was to build a boat and sail the ocean. Tom enjoyed fishing, cooking, and tasting many exotic foods from all of his travels. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching sports.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Stambaugh of Allen, Texas; son, Zachary Lynn Stambaugh and girlfriend Sasha of Allen, Texas; daughter Natalie “Natty Pearl” Stambaugh and boyfriend Thomas of Prosper, Texas; mother, Dorothy Stambaugh of Celina, Texas; sisters, Lynda Stambaugh, Jerry Dickerson and husband Lewis all of Celina, Texas; many aunts and uncles along with a host of other loving family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Emily Rayyan Stambaugh and his father Lynn Eldon Stambaugh.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Allen, Texas.
