Tom Templeman

Tom Templeman, age 97, of Princeton, Texas, passed away April 18, 2015, in Farmersville, Texas. Tom was born August 9, 1917, in Princeton, Texas, to Oscar and Maude (Cardwell) Templeman.  Tom proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Ethel Millsap on October 3, 1941, in Durant, Oklahoma. Tom and his wife began farming in the Princeton community for more than fifty years raising chinchillas, mink, and cattle. Tom was a barber for thirty-three years and was the owner of Northside Barber Shop in McKinney retiring in 2005.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Ethel Templeman of Princeton, Texas; son, Wayne B. Templeman and wife, Kathy, of McKinney, Texas; and granddaughters, Cindy Ann Deville and husband, Christopher of Jersey City, New Jersey, Kristie Lynn Wagar and husband, John of Charlotte, North Carolina, Karri Alecia Yurkovich and husband, Nick and Karen Amanda Templeman, all of Frisco, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Victor Wagar and Fallon Yurkovich.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Climax, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
