Tirzah Ceann Isom, age 4 months, of Allen, Texas passed away on August 25, 2013. She was born April 9, 2013, to Robert Shawn and Carrie Sue (Udy) Isom. She was born with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She spent her entire life in the hospital. She underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and a bone marrow transplant in the treatment to attempt to cure her leukemia. The treatment was ultimately unsuccessful. The cancer returned aggressively for her third relapse, ending her life.
She was a joy and a delight. She liked to laugh, to be held by her parents, and to play. She enjoyed listening to music to which she would sometimes move her head in rhythm. She enjoyed teasing the nurses and her parents by pulling out the various wires and tubes that were part of her treatment. She was an example in courage for the way she met the serious challenges she faced in her short life. She changed the lives of all those who got to know her and care for her.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Carrie Sue Isom of Allen, Texas; siblings, Keturah Isom, Shoshannah Isom, Amariah Isom, Micaiah Isom, Nathanael Isom and Zipporah Isom; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Kathie Isom of St. George, Utah; maternal grandparents, Lamar and Susan Udy of West Valley City, Utah; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Gubler of St. George, Utah; maternal great-grandparents, Arvid and Marlene Anderson of Kearns, Utah; and a host of loving family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Allen East Building (1404 E Main St, Allen, TX) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning at the church.
