Funeral services for Tina Kay Tacker Monck, 38 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday June 12th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Rev. Willie Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at the Grove Hill Cemetery near Leonard, Texas. Family visitation will be Thursday June 11th from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Monck was born December 30, 1970 at Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Don Thomas and Edna Lou Overstreet Tacker. She married James “Jamie” Monck May 22, 1993 at Mesquite, Texas. She was a homemaker and very active in child care. She was a substitute teacher for several local school districts, especially Blue Ridge I.S.D. She was a Christian lady with a strong faith in the Lord. Her first and foremost love was her husband and two children. She also had a great love for her friends, children and animals, especially her dogs and cats. She passed away Monday June 8th at the LifeCare Hospital of Plano after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband: James A. Monck, Jr. of Leonard, Texas; her son and daughter: Dylan J. Monck and Cassidy D. Monck of Leonard, Texas; her father: Don T. Tacker of Grapevine, Texas and her brother: Mark T. Tacker of Mesquite, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother Edna L. Tacker.
