Timothy "Tim" George Ryan

Timothy "Tim" George Ryan, age 64, of Allen, Texas, passed away August 18, 2015 due to complications from recent heart surgery. He was born on December 28, 1950 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Marshall Thomas and Ione Mary (Mortell) Ryan. On August 10, 1974, Timothy married Donna Fisher.

Tim graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1974 with an Electrical Engineering degree and received his MBA at the University of Dallas in 1986. Tim spent 35 years working for Texas Instruments and Raytheon in multiple roles as a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer working on complex military electronic products. He specialized in the design and development of airborne radars (specifically the F-22 program), airborne processors, night vision systems and multiple projects ranging from components to full systems. Tim's dedication to ensuring the reliability of the systems used by the men and women in uniform earned him multiple Technical Honor recognitions throughout his career. He was also a Senior Member of the Technical Staff. Tim retired in 2012.

Tim enjoyed cooking, following his daughter throughout her golf career, dining out with his wife every weekend, watching PGA tournaments every Sunday, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, mentoring and advocating for troubled youth, playing video games and driving his Corvette. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Ryan of Allen, Texas; daughter, Missy Ryan of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Steve Ryan and wife Kathy of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and mother, Ione Ryan also of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Zoey, his Tibetan Terrier puppy. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Marshall Thomas Ryan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
