Timothy Bryan Nootbaar

Timothy Bryan Nootbaar, age 18, of Starkville, Miss., and Frisco, Texas, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in Columbus, Miss. He was born March 14, 1988, in Poway, Calif., to Keith Dewayne Nootbaar and Kim Martin Nootbaar. Timothy was a 2006 graduate of Starkville High School, and planned to attend Mississippi State University in the fall. He played as an offensive lineman for the Starkville High School football team, and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Starkville, where he was an active member of the youth group. While living in Frisco, Timothy played for the Centennial High School football team and Frisco ice hockey team. He also served as a summer counselor at Red Cloud, a Christian camp in Lake City, Colo. His other activities and interests included Fellowship of Christian Athletes, choir, track, writing poetry and people. Timothy is survived by his mother, Kim Martin Nootbaar of Frisco; his father and step-mother, Keith and Julie Nootbaar of Starkville; two brothers, Steven and Michael Nootbaar of Frisco; brother, Nathan Nootbaar of Starkville; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Martin of Altus, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Jane Dillon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and paternal step-grandmother, Ruth Nootbaar of Paden, Okla. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Preston Ridge Baptist Church in Frisco, officiated by Pastor Gerald Griffin. Visitation is scheduled at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 19. Interment will be at Ridgeview West cemetery in Frisco. Memorials in honor of Timothy may be made to Camp Red Cloud, Inc., P.O. Box 130, Lake City, CO., 81235.
