Timothy Lane Jones, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on October 26, 2010. Timothy was born July 3, 1948, in Gilmer, Texas, to David Solomon and Toy May (McBride) Jones. He graduated from Longview High School in 1966. On January 9, 1967 he married Caroline Whitmire in Longview, Texas. Timothy was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Longview. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Jones of McKinney, Texas; sons, Randy Purser and wife Sheryl of Princeton, Texas, Ricky Purser of Amarillo, Texas, and David Purser of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Deborah Steele, Penny Garza, Jeremy Gillard, Andrew Purser, Brian Purser, Steven Purser, Tommy Purser, Aaron Purser, Sam Purser, Crystal Purser, and Heather Purser; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce Jones of Karnack, Texas, Jimmy Jones of Willis, Texas, David Jones, of McKinney, Texas; and sister, Wanda Wallace of Jefferson, Texas. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Purser; and grandchildren, Amber Purser and Amy Seabolt. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010, 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Friday. The family will receive friends at a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
