Thurman Wesley Snowder, age 79, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 14, 2007 in Richardson, Texas. He was born August 11, 1928, in McAlester, OK, to Jess and Dorothy (Eales) Snowder. He earned his Bachelor of Industrial Arts from Oklahoma City University. On July 16, 1953 he married Janette Stevenson in Midwest City, OK. Mr. Snowder served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a telecommunication engineer and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his five very proud sons, Steven of Plano, Tom Wesley of Plano, Randy H. of Plano, Don R. Snowder and his wife Tammy of Richardson, and Gary of Plano; grandchildren, Brandon, Theresa, Travis, Jason, Cory, Alicia and Joshua; brother, Terry Ray Snowder of El Reno, OK; and a host of other family and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife, Janette; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Mark Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
