Thurman Owen Morrow, age 78, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away March 3, 2015, in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born July 8, 1936, in McKinney, Texas to Virgil Thompson and Eula Bernice (Welborn) Morrow. Thurman married Pansy Ruth Wooley February 4, 1956, in Durant, Oklahoma. He lived in Euless, Texas for fifty-two years where he was active coaching little league baseball, football and basketball. Thurman retired from General Motors in Arlington, Texas and was a member of Estelle Lodge #582 AAF in Euless, Texas and the Moslah Shriners. He was a member of Airport Freeway Church of Christ in Euless, Texas where he was very active and, most recently, the College Church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas.
Thurman is survived by his loving wife, Pansy Ruth Morrow of Searcy, Arkansas; three children, Dr. Clara Carroll and husband Charlie of Searcy, Arkansas, Sandra Ann Morrow of Webster, Texas and Keith Owen Morrow and wife Anessa of Olive Branch, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Monica Ann Vesely and husband Kevin, Jacqueline Elizabeth Carroll and Klein Owen Morrow; two great-grandchildren, Reed Douglas Vesely and Hudson Charles Vesely; one brother, Michael Morrow and wife Sheila of Princeton, Texas.
Thurman was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Eula Morrow; brothers, Curtis Morrow and Virgil Morrow.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
