Thomas Cline Thompson, age 76, of Fairview, Texas, passed away November 6, 2014, in McKinney, Texas. Thomas was born January 24, 1938, in Houston, Texas, to John Leo and Estelle (Butler) Thompson. He married Betty Grube on September 1, 1962, in Houston, Texas. Thomas was an entrepreneur as well as CEO of several medical device companies. His passion was helping organizations and individuals succeed. He devoted countless hours to many of his favorite organizations including, Fairhill School, Foundation for Lovejoy Schools, Medical Device Manufacturing Association, and Phi Kappa Sigma at The University of Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Grube Thompson of Fairview, Texas; children, Gretchen Thompson Wild and husband, Steve of Lucas, Texas, John Kenneth Thompson and wife, Veronica of Wylie, Texas, and Liesl Thompson Jones and husband Chadd of Fairview, Texas; grandsons, Luke Thompson Wild of Lucas, Texas, Freddie Laredo Cantu of Wylie, Texas, and Maxwell Von Jones of Fairview, Texas; granddaughter, McKenzi Caroline Thompson of Wylie, Texas; brother, Lynn Eldridge Thompson and wife, Lisa of Austin, Texas; and sister, Gwen Annette Killman and husband, Don of Garland, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Ruth Estelle Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Creekwood United Methodist Church in Fairview, Texas. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Lucas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
The Thompson family would like to invite family and friends to a reception at their home, 501 Lakewood Dr. in Fairview immediately following the graveside service.
