Mr. Tex C. Thomas, age 77, of Plano, Texas passed away August 10, 2006 in Humble, Texas. He was born January 11, 1929, in Warren County, Kentucky to Chester A. and Linnie Mac (Young) Thomas. On April 4, 1953 he married Verna Mae Boepple in Oklahoma City, OK. Mr. Thomas served his country in the US Air Force during World War II. He earned his Bachelors Degree at the University of Kentucky and his Masters Degree at SMU, both degrees in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Thomas was an electrical engineer with Collins Radio which later became Rockwell International. Tex would like to thank his friends and family at Silverado Senior Living Center in Kingwood, Texas for taking care of him the last months of his life. He is survived by his daughters Judy Henly of Lubbock, TX and Sharon Wright and her husband Alph of Kingwood, TX, and daughter-in-law: Debbie Thomas; grandchildren Stuart, Thomas and Clayton Henly, Alph III, Jacob and Garrett Wright, and Amanda, Robbie and Jordan Thomas; sisters Polly Duckett, Faye Madison and Nell DeJarnett; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Verna Mae; daughter Linda Thomas, sons Richard and Robert; and Baby Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
