Terry Lynn Pettit was born April 7, 1958 in Denton, Texas to Billy L. "Bo" Pettit and Geralene “Jerry” Strickland Pettit. He married Nancy Vinson on June 4, 1983 in Whitewright, Texas. He died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 55. He was a resident of Whitewright, Texas.
Worked at and managed his family's business, Pettit's Grocery in Whitewright.
He is survived by wife, Nancy Pettit of Whitewright; son, Nathan Pettit of Whitewright; daughter, Chaley Pettit of Dallas; son, William Pettit of Whitewright; grandson, Aiden Pettit of Whitewright; sister, Jeannie Santogrossi and husband Richard of Whitewright; brother, Larry Deeds and wife Linda of Whitewright; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bo and Jerry Pettit.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rodney Stanford and Rev.Philip Smith. Pallbearers will be Rodney Bow, Ronnie Cameron, Carl McFatridge, Jem Mangrum, Kenneth Franklin, and Stan Strickland.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book until 8:00pm.
