IN LOVING MEMORY

Tammy Rae Tamez

Nov 26 1963 - Aug 29 2013

Tammy Rae Tamez, age 49, of McKinney, Texas, passed away August 29, 2013, in McKinney, Texas.  Tammy was born November 26, 1963, in El Paso, Texas, to Charles and Dorothy (Colwell) Jordan. On March 12, 2011, Tammy married Adam Tamez in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She graduated high school in 1981 in Texarkana, Texas. Tammy was a loving wife and mother.  She was known as a loyal friend and always welcomed those in need of help with open arms.  She enjoyed spending time at home with her husband Adam, where they enjoyed cooking, working on home projects, and spending time with friends and family.  Tammy had a very large circle of friends and immensely enjoyed both hosting and attending dinner parties, going on adventurous outings, and travelling.  She also spent a great deal of time with her family, who were her true pride and joy, and arranged most of the family’s get togethers.  Tammy enjoyed working at Legacy Texas Bank, where she befriended many of her co-workers and quickly excelled in her role as a Personal Banker.  In the mornings before getting ready, you would find her curled up in the recliner with her Maltese, Chloe, drinking a cup of coffee and on her smart phone or iPad reading the news, weather, catching up with friends on Facebook or playing Words With Friends games. Tammy was known as a person who would do anything for those she loved, and often did.  She will be missed more than any of our words could ever express.

She is survived by her husband, Adam Tamez of McKinney, Texas; children, Lindsey Jenkins Click and Derek Jenkins, both of McKinney, Texas; step-daughter, Shelley Tamez of Dallas, Texas; parents, Chuck and Dorothy Jordan of McKinney, Texas; siblings, Richard Stephen Holman of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Thomas Lee Jordan of McKinney, Texas; nephews, Jason Jordan of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Mark Jordan of Pittsburg, Texas, Matthew Jordan of Pittsburg, Texas and Zachary Jordan of Tyler, Texas; nieces, Melissa Starnes of Crouse, North Carolina, Rebecca Holman of Morgantown, West Virginia, Rachel Holman of Reedsville, West Virginia, Melinda Longoria of Garland, Texas, Melissa Jordan Carroll of Gilmer, Texas, Jolie Bass of McKinney, Texas, and Devin Jordan of McKinney, Texas.

Tammy is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Mark Jordan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Tammy’s favorite charity:  Susan G. Komen Foundation and can be made online at www.info-komen.org/donateonline
