Talva Ann Davis, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away January 8, 2013 at the age of 38. She was born July 10, 1974, in Levelland, Texas, to Alva Earl Smith Jr. and Julie Ann DePoyster Smith. On May 2, 1997, Talva married Jason Douglas Davis in Levelland. She was a student at the University of North Texas and worked as the New Account Coordinator at Hoya Vision Care in Lewisville, Texas. Talva belonged to The Ecclesia Church in Prosper, Texas, and she was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Davis of Little Elm, Texas; children, Shealan Nicole Davis, Jack Douglas Davis, Trent Ryan Davis and Beau Cameron Davis; parents, Alva Earl Smith, Jr. and wife Beverly of Levelland, Texas, Julie Ann DePoyster Miller and husband Doyle E. Miller, Jr. of Abilene, Texas; brothers, Alva Leon Smith and wife Denae of Breckenridge, Texas, and Skyler Smith of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Genene Russell of Aurora, Colorado, and stepbrothers Doug Miller of Riverside, California, Dan Miller of Lubbock, Texas, and stepsister Dina Miller of Riverside, California; and grandmother, Clydene DePoyster of Corinth, Texas: and a wealth of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and extended family; and many loving friends and neighbors.
Talva is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Geneva Smith, Alva Earl Smith Sr. and Leon Wayne "Bill" DePoyster.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, January 11, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
