Sybil Frances Murray

Miss Sybil Frances Murray of Nevada, Texas passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 in Dallas where she had lived the past few years.

She was born January 11, 1918 in Farmersville, Texas the daughter of John Jackson and Matilda Shipp Murray. She grew in in the Farmersville, Nevada, Copeville and Blue Ridge areas and attended Farmersville and Blue Ridge Schools. Later she moved to Dallas and retired from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in the 1970's. After retirement, she and her sister Carrie Beulah moved back to the family farm near Nevada for several years, but in 2005 they moved to Dallas with their cat Nuisance, where she enjoyed living at the Summerville Retirement Community and getting reacquainted with some old friends from work. She faithfully studied her Bible and read the newspaper every day and never missed Wheel of Fortune and the evening news. If anyone had a Biblical question, she was the one to go to. She was a member of the Schofield Memorial Church in Dallas and attended Copeville Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Jack and Robert Murray, her sisters; Annie Pearl Murray, Carrie Beulah Murray, and Ouida Murray Olive.

She is survived by her brother; G.C.(Pete) Murray and wife Vera of Farmersville and also by several neices and nephews and her beloved kitty, Nuisance.
