Suzanne Finch Kessler, age 74, of Allen, Texas passed away on August 15, 2013. She was born August 5, 1939, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to William Franklin and Wilma (Ward) Finch Thiebaud. On April 28, 1960, Suzanne married Robert Albert Kessler, in Dallas, Texas. She spent her early years in Florida and later in San Antonio, Texas; the last 47 years were spent in the Dallas area. Suzanne worked as a secretary at Park Central Baptist Church. She taught ESL classes at the college level. Suzanne’s hobbies included singing, music, playing the guitar and piano, crocheting and knitting. She was a great story teller and loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and all of her family. Suzanne’s greatest love was worshipping God and telling others about Jesus.
She is survived by her children, Susan Elizabeth “Beth” Kessler Muse and husband John of Murphy, Texas, Robert Thiebaud Kessler and wife Sarentha of Palacious, Texas; grandchildren, Sterling Muse, Sullivan Muse, Sarah Beth Muse, Audry Kessler, Timothy Kessler and Daisy Kessler; brother, William Franklin Finch, III and wife Mary Ann of Austin, Texas; nephew, Will Finch of New York; and aunt, Thelma Ward Parker of Florida.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Finch Jr., Wren Franklin and Wilma Ward Thiebault.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Park Central Baptist Church, 7777 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, Texas. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
