Sue Francis of Carrollton, Texas passed away April 1, 2012 at the age of 79. She was born May 19, 1932 to William Franklin and Mary Kathryn (Riser) Gibson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She married Melvin Glenn Francis on November 1, 1947 in McKinney, Texas. Sue was a member of the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas and previously Hillcrest Church of Christ in Arlington, Texas and Webb Chapel Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Francis of Carrollton; daughters, Kathleen Francis of Dallas, Texas, Carolyn Halbert-Dailey and husband David of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy Unangst and husband Richard of Weatherford, Texas, Tiffani Roland and husband Keith of Weatherford, Jaeson Babb and wife Erica of Frisco, Texas, Trey Halbert of Austin, Texas, Amanda Babb of Dallas, Texas, Ryan “Mike” Francis of Las Vegas, Nevada; great grandchildren, TJ and Michelle Anguiano of Weatherford; cousins, Bruce Fain and wife Shirley of Garland, Texas and Joann Hill and husband Roger of Hurst, Texas.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Gibson and Kathryn Edwards; son, Mike Francis; brother, Bill Gibson and wife Norma.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Walnut Hill Church of Christ located at 10550 Marsh Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75229. Interment is to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
