Steven Dale McGregor

Steven Dale McGregor, age 63 of Lucas, Texas passed away February 11, 2015 in Lucas. He was born January 16, 1952 in Arcola, Illinois to Dale Eugene and Barbara Jean (Parrish) McGregor. Steve graduated from the University of North Texas where he was a member of the cross country team. He began his career as a teacher at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Richardson, Texas where he later became the Vice Principal. While Steve was teaching he began making videos. He later worked for Storer Cable in Video Production making Kid City Television and television commercials. From there he became a writer and video producer for his own company Photo Electric. Steve was also a musician playing in BYO Musicians and has always loved Rock-n-Roll. He married Jane Summers on September 22, 1990 in Fairview, Texas. Steve was a member of Custer Road United Methodist Church, where he volunteered his time in video production.

He is survived by his loving wife Jane McGregor of Lucas; two daughters, Brooke Caterisano and husband Matt of Austin, Texas and Kelsey McGregor of Plano, Texas; step-mother, Marilla McGregor of Murphy, Texas; two sisters, Barbara and Charlie McLaughlin of Georgetown, Texas and Carol and Jim Loftis of Ft. Worth, Texas; three brothers, Brian McGregor of Plano, Texas, Phillip and Sharon McGregor of Murphy, Texas and Scott and Tammy McGregor of Decatur, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Dale McGregor and mother, Barbara Jean McGregor.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A remembrance gathering will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

The family invites everyone to the house immediately afterward for food, drinks, and live music.
