Staton Carrol Hale

Staton C. Hale, age 84, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on June 27, 2009 in Bonham, Texas. Staton was born September 16, 1924 in Little River, Texas to Jesse David Hale and Cora Juanita (Blakey) Hale. On January 5, 1988, he married Lillie E. Steele in McKinney, Texas. Staton was a Seamen 1st Class USNR during WWII. He earned a Victory medal and an Asiatic-Pacific medal. He had an honorable discharge on February 23, 1946. His occupation was paint and body repair. His most important role however, was a loving husband and father. Staton is survived by his wife, Lillie Hale of Princeton, Texas; Billy Hale and his wife Bobbie of Whitesboro, Texas; daughters, Linda Brown of Trenton, Texas, Sheila Purser and husband Bobby Jack of Trenton, Texas and Sharon Montgomery of McKinney, Texas; stepchildren, Wesley Talley and wife Arnetta of Princeton, Texas and David Talley and wife Charlsie of Houston, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind one sister, Tiny and her husband Charles Roberts of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie (Ballew) Hale; son, David Monroe Hale; stepdaughter, Angelina (Talley) Sidener; two brothers, and parents. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
