Solon Leon Pelt, age 87, passed away August 12, 2007 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on November 20, 1919 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Solon Pelt and Ida Mae (Morris). On August 28, 1946 he married Doris Harrison in Sherman, Texas. Leon was a Technician for Jet Engines and a member of the Church of Christ faith. Leon is survived by his wife Doris Pelt of Frisco, Texas; children, Phillip Pelt and his wife Sarah of Frisco, Texas, Gerald Pelt and his wife Norma of Frisco, Texas, Craig Pelt and his wife Deborah of Collinsville, Texas, and Scott Pelt of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Cindy Roberts, John Biggerstaff, Kala Svevo, Bryan Pelt, Aaron Pelt, Rae Ann Koonce, and Kristi Pelt; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Reta Mae Mantooth of Durant, Oklahoma. Leon is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Marlon Cole and Tex Monk officiating. Internment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in Gunter, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home in Frisco at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:30 PM.
