Sidney Bernard Little

Sidney Bernard Little of McKinney, Texas passed away August 18, 2013 at the age of 91. He was born January 13, 1922 to Archie R. Little and Elizabeth (Clifford) Little in Kansas City, Missouri. Dad served in the Army during WWII in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. He was in supply and maintenance during the war. After the war, he established himself as a salesman of restaurant supplies for his Uncle Bernie in Kansas City Missouri. He later married Letha Fern Thompson and they had four children, Rita, Sid, Teresa and Dennis. Dad reenlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Anchorage Alaska for a tour of duty and then to Del Rio Texas and then to Alaska for another tour, then to Albany Georgia. He was then recruited for the Strategic Air Command in Omaha Nebraska as a Logistic Expert, in the secretive underground where the air force was on continual alert. It was in Omaha dad finished his 25 years and retired from the Air Force. He was recruited by Burroughs Corp and was given the task to create the first Job Corp in Omaha. Later he was recruited by Control Data to manage their operations in Minnesota and later transferred to Thousand Oaks California, where his beloved wife Letha passed away. Dad later married Clelah Mae Young and retired in Laguna Niguel where his permanent residence remains. 

Sidney is survived by sons, Sidney Little and wife, Patricia of McKinney, Texas and Dennis W. Little and wife, Donna of Algodones, New Mexico; daughters, Teresa Brenner and husband Gary of Chesterfield, Missouri and Rita Workman and husband Bill of St. Peters, Missouri; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
