Sidney Lee Johnston, age 62, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1952 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Sanford and Milval Johnston. Sidney married Kimberly Richards on December 10, 1998 in Dallas, Texas. He worked for Verizon for ten years. Sidney wrote music and was a bass player. He loved his wife; their life together was a true love story. Sidney was a member of Grace Outreach Center in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Johnston of McKinney, Texas; children, Ashley Moore of McKinney, Texas, Zach Johnston of Sarasota, Florida, Casey Moore of Dallas, Texas, and Hunter Johnston of Sarasota, Florida; mother-in-law, Jackie McFarlin of Red Oak, Texas; brother, Woodrow Wilson of Houston, Texas.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Milval Johnston.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Grace Outreach Church in Plano, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
