Shirley Jane Herring Hale of Allen, Texas passed away April 8, 2013 at the age of 76. She was born August 13, 1936 to Russell L. and Zora B. Herring in Thomas, Oklahoma. Shirley graduated from Lefors High School in Lefors, Texas. She continued her education at Abilene Christian College. She married John Roy Hale on July 13, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas. Shirley was a mother and homemaker, who dearly loved her Lord, serving people, and having fun.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Trent and husband, Carl, of Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter Toni Young and husband, Todd, of Allen, Texas, and daughter Tami Parker and husband, Kelly, of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Stefanie and Luke Patton, Aaron and Ashley Trent, Heather and April Young, Blake, Colton and Clay Parker; brother, Russell Herring and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Carolyn Herring and nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Hale; parents, Russell and Zora Herring; and brothers, Jerry and Tommy Herring.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013 at McDermott Road Church of Christ, 3600 McDermott Road, Plano, Texas 75025. Interment is to follow the service at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
