Sherri W. Mraz, age 63, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 12, 2015. She was born on March 23, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to George A. and Geraldine (Farrell) Washburn. Sherri graduated from Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, Georgia and furthered her education by earning her bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta. After college Sherri moved to McKinney and shortly thereafter started The Pantry Restaurant in historic downtown McKinney. She retired after about 20 years of business. Sherri fell in love with the Oregon coast and owned a vacation home where she visited often. She attended the Agape Center for Spiritual Living in Plano, Texas.
She is survived by her mother, Geraldine Washburn of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Robert Washburn and wife Barbara of Dunnellon, Florida and Bill Washburn of Linden, Virginia; sisters, Connie Washburn and Gerrie Lynn Vargha both of Atlanta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Sherri is preceded in death by her father, George A. Washburn.
A Celebration Service remembering Sherri is to be held at the Pantry Restaurant on Louisiana Street, in Historic downtown McKinney, on Monday, January 26th from 5:30 to 7:30. This casual gathering of family and friends will rejoice in remembering and sharing memories of Sherri.
