Shelley Thompson Missildine, age 63, of Richardson, Texas, passed away February 2, 2013, in Richardson. Shelley was born December 9, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama, to Daniel R. and Martha (Tudor) Thompson. She married Jerry Davis Missildine on November 4, 1972, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Shelley grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from Murphy High School in 1968. She attended The University of North Alabama. Shelley moved to the Oklahoma City area in 1969, where she worked for the International Crystal Company for several years. She enjoyed playing dominoes, working Sudoku puzzles, watching TV, especially “Castle”. Shelley was the matriarch of her entire family and was a “Mom” to many.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Missildine of Richardson, Texas; son, Michael Missildine and wife, Kimberly of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Gavin Missildine, Joshua Hale, and Christopher Hale; brother, Randy Thompson and wife, Nancy of Stockbridge, Georgia; sister, Scharleane Stotts and husband, Gordon of Edmond, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, David LaFlamme, Christine Dunn and husband, Sean, and Wendy Webb and husband, Billy; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
