Shawn O’Malley Wellott, age 47, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 25, 2008, in McKinney. Shawn was born February 6, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert James and Rose Marie (O’Malley) Wellott. He married Kathy Schattle on April 16, 1988 in Richardson, Texas. Shawn was a home builder and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wellott of McKinney, Texas; sons, Ryan and Austin Wellott both of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Katelyn Wellott, also of McKinney; mother and father, Rose Marie and Bob Wellott of Richardson, Texas; brother, Bobby Wellott and wife, Linda of Lake Havasu, Arizona; sisters, Kathleen Wellott of Dallas, Texas, Jodi Wellott of Windom, Texas, and Mary Wilkerson and husband, Gary of Edgewood, Texas; brother, Bryan Wellott and wife, Gigi of Corona, California; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nita and Walter Schattle of Richardson, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas with Father David Flori officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:00 PM, Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
