Sharon Starnes, age 64, of New Hope, Texas passed away April 15, 2010 in McKinney, Texas. She was born May 22, 1945 in McKinney, Texas to Thomas M. and Edith Lorene (Mayo) Montgomery. On October 20, 1967 she married Dicky Howard Starnes in McKinney, Texas. Sharon worked for Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd and Joplin Law Firm for 40 years as a legal assistant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKinney. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dicky Starnes of New Hope, Texas; son, Rowdy Starnes of New Hope, Texas; granddaughter, Brooklyn Starnes; sister, Pat Jahn and husband, Bob of Irving, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
