Savannah Marie Ramza, age 16 , of Allen, Texas passed away on March 15, 2011 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was born on July 5, 1994 in Seattle, Washington. Savannah loved competing which led to her many notable successes in swimming and softball. She began swimming at 6 months old and at age 8, she started a 3 year state-qualifying run with C.O.A.S.T. Savannah was also a Junior Varsity Cheerleader and later found a new passion in softball. She was a catcher on the JV softball team at Allen High School. She was a dancer and a tumbler and loved her jewelry. She was known by many as “Nan,” “Vannah Bug,” and “Sav,” but her acts of charity have now earned her the nickname of “Allen’s Angel”. She was a member of the Youth Ministry at the Fellowship Church of Plano. With girlfriends, she organized a fundraiser for Toys for Tots, producing a few hundred dollars the first year, and growing each year since. Her most recent act was in the saving of several lives through organ donation. Savannah is survived by her mother, Nora May (Whitt) Ramza and her father, Mark Alan Ramza each of Allen, Texas. Also by her brother CJ Ramza (Allen, TX); her brother Joey Rhodes, his significant other Jacque Head and niece Harley Jo (Allen, TX); and adopted brother Charlie Byrd (Fort Pendleton, MD).
