Sandra Kay Tennison

Sandra went to be with her Lord at 7:37 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in the hospital peacefully.  

Sandra Tennison was born to W.E. and Alice Tennison on June 5, 1944. She is survived by her mother, Alice Tennison; son, Les LaJoie; daughter, Sherri LaJoie; brother Bill Tennison; aunt, Jean Crawford and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her huband, Earl Stone; grandparents C.R. and Amanda Maddux, and Julia and Edgar Tennison; numerous uncles, and her son Christopher LaJoie, in 1988, who died at the age of 19.

She graduated from Calhoun High School where she won many beauty contests. She was Miss Port Lavaca, Miss Sea-o-Roma, Buccaneer, most beautiful in high school and FFA sweetheart. She went to Sam Houston and Perdue College, married Jim LaJoie, the father of her two children. She worked as an Executive Secretary for nine Geologists for a number of years. She married Earl Stone in 1987 and moved to Virginia. Soon after moving to VA, she then went into Real Estate, which she loved and excelled to become #1 in sales for Toll Brothers. In 2006, she moved to Dallas in 2006 to pursue her career in Real Estate and close to her family.

She enjoyed decorating homes, cooking and being creative, like her unique one of a kind wreaths. She will be greatly missed. She was a sweet caring person and always ready to help anyone in need. She was a shining star.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel (www.TJMfuneral.com) located at 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas. A graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to a memorial fund setup for Sandra at Wells Fargo Bank to the family to offset medical and funeral costs; any funds left over will be rolled into a college account for her grandchildren.
